BUY DJARUM BLACK CLOVE CIGARETTES

Djarum Black is Filter Clove Cigarettes. Djarum Blacks are considered to be a medium potency cigarette, but you shouldn’t think that this means that they merely taste like Marlboro or Newport. These are packed with Asian dark leaf “Srintil” tobacco, not processed American tobacco; and then there’s that addition of the cloves.

Cloves make up approximately 40% of the cigarette, and tobacco 60%, by weight. Both the scent and the taste of  Djarum Blacksare quite pleasant; indeed I find the taste almost outrageously delicious, and the scent transports me to other days, many from my childhood, of beautiful and crisp Autumn or Christmas time days with their scents of wood smoke or dead and moldering leaves in the air. Another thing to love about these great smokes: their filters of Blacks are coated in a “sauce” of spices native to the Indonesian region.

Predominantly these are the cloves in addition to cardamom and cinnamon. This spicy “sauce” on the filters is sweet tasting-yet another positive addition to the whole sensuous experience.

Length: 3 1/2 inches (89 mm); filter 13/16 inch. Information on the pack lists PT Djarum, Indonesia as the manufacturer. (Almost rhymes with PT Barnum, doesn't it? Hmmm?) The distributor is Kretek International.

Djarum Black is internationally recognized for its blend of the finest tobaccos and cloves in unique black wrapping. With 25 Mg Tar and 1.6 Mg Nicotine, give you the real Indonesia cigarettes.

Reviewing the cigar version of course, seeing as it’s 2011. Anyway, these have quite a high clove content and that provides a spicy note compared to the sweet note of the lower clove content Specials. The nicotine hit in these isn’t very strong- it’s mild at most. A plus as a result of the lower tobacco content is that they never burn my tongue or throat. The tobacco in these is still pretty good- it’s so clean and natural tasting. Very earthy and mellow. These are very tasty, and the smoke is very sweet and I’ve often been told it smells more like a clove incense than a cigar! The worst thing about these is that they take ages to burn, and even though they aren’t FSC, they still randomly extinguish theirselves often. Many people argue that cloves aren’t an everyday smoke, even moreso now that they are cigarillos, but I still choose cloves as my everyday smokes. I do think these might be a little more extravagant, but once you get hooked on the high quality tobacco in these, it’s hard to go back to others!
